4 Full-Sleeved Polo’s Time in the Sun

Back in the day, the shirt was introduced as a garment with detachable cuffs and collars to insulate the more elaborate jacket from sweat and smell. This was for the masses; the nobility had perfume. The military extended that format, and the undershirt became a hygienic win for the men in uniform. Post WWII, when people started wearing it out on display rather than hidden away, the day of the tee had arrived. But it was too casual to be an alternative to a regular dress shirt.
